Be part of the REELise Film Festival 2017.  The 2017 Competition theme is IRL (in real life).

Entry is FREE and open to young people 10-18 years.

To be eligible for consideration as a REElise Film Festival finalist and potential award winner, you must submit an Entry Form and your film must meet the REELise Entry Guidelines. Key requirements are that your film is shot on a mobile phone or iPad, is 5 minutes or less (including credits)  and addresses the competition theme.  Entry close is 17 February 2017.

Young filmmakers will be vying to win great prizes including filmmaking equipment and industry experiences.

Our best Junior winner will also receive a a one day “Lights, Camera Education” incursion in 2017 for a primary class of 25 students provided by StarTime Studios.  The incursion allows students to gain basic skills in presenting to camera, camera techniques, sound production, editing and working as a crew.

In 2017 Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Best Film – Junior (10-12 years)
  • Best Film – Intermediate (13-15 years)
  • Best Film – Senior (16-18 years)
  • Spirit of REELise
  • People’s Choice
  • Touch of Pink – the film which best explores an International Day of Pink theme of bullying, discrimination, homophobia or transphobia

All entrants receive a certificate of achievement.

Best Film Junior – Sticks and Stones by Bella Merlino.  Bella won a behind the scenes experience with Network Ten and a Tascam Portable Digital Audio Recorder.

1st Runner Up Internet Child  by Lalleh Memar.  Lalleh won an on the set experience with Matchbox Pictures and a Zoom IQ Professional Stereo Microphone for iOS Devices.

2nd Runner Up Beautiful Mistakes by Yaam Deckel.  Yaam won a Rode Smart Lav+Lavalier Condenser Microphone for Smartphones together with a Smartphone Video Stand with Bluetooth Shutter.

Best Film Senior Cyber by Georgia Michelle Cramp.  Georgia won a production house experience with Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder and a Tascam Portable Digital Audio Recorder.

1st Runner Up Outside the Box by Audrey Villafana and Nitara Zaid.  Audrey and Nitara won a recording studio experience with LAMP Music.

2nd Runner Up – Sticks and Stones by Angela Chen.  Angela won a Rode Smart Lav+Lavalier Condenser Microphone for Smartphones together with a Smartphone Video Stand with Bluetooth Shutter.
